Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
One of the best downhills I have ever ridden, Bunker Creek Utah. 12 miles of downhill from 11,300′ to about 3,000′. I wish this election happened as fast as that ride. I think the people have had their minds made up for months. The important thing I try to remember is that at least we can vote when more than half the world can’t. The Battle of Antietam, or The Battle of Sharpsburg as the southerners call it, gives this creek a very heavy feeling when you’ve spent as much time as I have near it. It rained an hour before we got there. You could ride your bike on the wet dunes without sinking in. An east coast winter reaction.

Fall is here in Maryland
Sunday, October 5th, 2008I have always liked the way you physically mark time with seasons. I worked in LA a few times during the holidays and it didn’t feel quite real. Here on the east coast the changing leaves and film flowing through my camera speed me into the first snowstorm. I closed all of the windows in the house tonight.
