Polaroid, my first digital/instant gratification camera. I will miss that image process. My first SX-70 camera I bought used in 1979. I still have most of the good images I shot with it.

I have always liked the way you physically mark time with seasons. I worked in LA a few times during the holidays and it didn’t feel quite real. Here on the east coast the changing leaves and film flowing through my camera speed me into the first snowstorm. I closed all of the windows in the house tonight.

I have always been a fan of how the great painters placed people in a frame on canvas.

For me, this image paints a picture in which time stands still…for just a moment…to relax by the creek.

The poses are completely natural.
Completely… painterly.
