This year Maryland can’t decide if it is summer or spring. On one of the first warm hikes at Liberty Lake, Luca watches the young bass. I’ve been photographing there for years. No matter the season, light on the water never stops amazing me. I can shoot black and white or color, makes no difference.

Been in the woods at Patapsco Park photographing for our holiday card. Spent a lot of time in this park with my dogs over the years. Now Gizi (left in above photo) is gone and when I walk through the park with my new puppies, I can’t help but feel overcome by the physical and visual sense of “change.” It is ever constant. Especially now, during this election season. Change may be something we like or don’t like…but it will come at us either way. Like each falling leaf, it has its own purpose and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
